Guide the ball with magnets

Magnet Factory is a lightweight physics puzzle game. Toggle each magnet to attract or repel the metallic ball, then find a safe route to the glowing exit.

How to play

• In Puzzle mode, click or tap a magnet to switch it on or off.
• Cyan magnets attract the ball; red magnets repel it.
• Steel walls bounce normally, orange rubber panels boost rebounds, and purple brake panels absorb momentum.
• Press R or use Restart whenever you want to try again.

Build a route

Choose Build a route in the board toolbar to place cyan attraction or pink repulsion magnets yourself. Every magnet you add stays on, so plan the field that carries the ball into the exit vortex. Use Clear to start the layout over without changing the route.

There are 30 handcrafted levels. Completing a level unlocks the next one, and your progress is saved in this browser.

September 23, 2026 — Build mode and extended routes

• Added Build a route, a direct-manipulation mode for placing permanent attraction and repulsion magnets on the board.
• The build toolbar lets you choose polarity, clear placed magnets, and see the current magnet count. Placement is blocked when it would overlap the ball, exit, walls, or another magnet.
• Puzzle mode remains unchanged: its magnets are switched on and off, while magnets placed in Build mode stay active.
• The optional magnetic-field view now helps visualize the routes created by permanent magnets.
• The campaign contains 30 handcrafted routes. After the final route, new procedural routes extend play without replacing the authored progression.
